Role Overview
We're hiring a third engineer and keeping the scope open. Could be backend, data pipelines, a second ML engineer, or something else entirely — it depends on where the bottleneck is when you join. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and excited about figuring out what matters most.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with founders to identify the highest-leverage engineering work at join time.
- Ship production-quality software across potential areas: backend, data, ML, or platform.
- Improve reliability, performance, and developer experience as the team and codebase grow.
- Communicate tradeoffs clearly and help set technical direction in a fast-moving environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- You are a strong generalist or deep in one area (backend, data, or ML) with appetite to flex.
- You thrive with unclear scope early on and enjoy turning constraints into shipped outcomes.
- You value ownership, direct feedback, and high-trust collaboration with a small team.
Nice to Have
- Experience in early-stage startups, AI products, or AEC-related tooling.
- Comfort operating across the stack when the team needs it.
